Planning for College

Planning for college now can increase your chances of getting into the best school for you. It’s all about making the right choices. The earlier you begin planning the better, but even if you are a senior in high school it is not too late to position yourself for college success. If you haven’t always excelled in school, improving your grades now before you apply to colleges can show admissions officers you are willing to work hard for your education. While grades are no doubt important, colleges will also consider how well-rounded you are. If you have spent time developing hobbies or talents, playing on sports teams, and getting involved with your community, these can work in your favor in the college admissions process. Excellent grades or extraordinary talents may even help you win a scholarship or other merit-based financial aid.
