For Parents

Planning for a child to go to college can be a challenging prospect. The good news is, you are starting early, and that means you will be more prepared than most.

How can I prepare my child for the road ahead?

Getting into college

At this stage, you are probably thinking more about college than your child is. The best thing you can do to help your child prepare for the college admissions process now is to encourage them to develop the study habits, skills or hobbies, and maturity that colleges look for in prospective students.

Paying for college

While paying for college can be a challenge, there are many sources of financial aid for which you and your child can apply. Read more about the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).
