The Boston Business Journal (BBJ) has named American Student Assistance® (ASA) one of the Best Places to Work in Boston. The honor recognizes ASA’s achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions, and company culture.
The BBJ looks at such critical areas as employees’ job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, and benefits. ASA ranked #14 in the large company category—500+ employees—and was named among such well-known companies as Microsoft, Genzyme, and Comcast.
ASA Honored Among Many Entries
ASA was named one of the best places to work from among almost 400 nominations. This is the largest number of applicants in the event’s 4-year history. This year, the BBJ based its rankings on more than 35,000 employee-satisfaction surveys featuring questions about work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, and benefits and compensation.
ASA’s “2007 Employee Opinion and Internal Customer Satisfaction Survey” reported that 85% of all employees are proud to work at ASA and 81% would recommend ASA as a good place to work. In fact, last year an associate referred 1 out of every 4 new associates hired.
