Why can’t I print from Netscape?
Printing from a Netscape browser may result in a printed page with the following message:
Data Missing
This document resulted from a POST operation and has expired from the cache. If you wish you can repost the form to recreate the document by pressing the reload button.
This appears to be an issue with Netscape browsers. Currently the following work-around is suggested: from the File menu choose “Save As ” and change the File name from “frp.dll” to something with a .htm or .html file name extension (i.e. “mypage.html”). Later or in a separate browser window you will be able to open and print the saved HTML file.
Why do I need to relax my Pop Up Blockers when using ASA Direct?
ASA Direct’s reports appear in pop-up windows. When your Pop-Up Blocker is active, it prohibits your browser from showing you your reports. In order to relax your pop up blockers, select “Tools” from the menu in Internet Explorer. Then select “Internet Options” and choose the “Security” tab. Select “Trusted Sites” and click on the “Sites” icon. In the space provided, enter the address https://asadirect1.amsa.com/oowcr/login/login.aspx?i=ASA and click “Add”. Then click “OK”.
What can I do to help a borrower with their ASA Direct issues when I am unable to log into the Borrower site?
Access the “Borrower Troubleshooting Guides” on the right hand side of this screen in order to view screenshots of each page the borrower sees when they are in ASA Direct. Individual guides highlight the Stafford, PLUS, and Graduate PLUS application and e-Sign processes. Should you or the borrower have further questions, contact your Client Manager or the ASA Call Center at 800.999.9080.
I’m getting a very vague error message that says “We’ve encountered an unexpected error.” What should I do?
Please take note of the time this occurred and the borrower you were working with. If possible, please take a screen shot of the error message. E-mail this information along with any other details regarding the transaction that prompted the message to asadirect@amsa.com. Someone will get back to you shortly with a resolution and/or next steps.
Can a bank view a loan that has been sold or transferred on ASA Direct?
