College Cost Reduction and Access Act

On September 7, 2007, Congress passed the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (CCRAA). It was signed by President Bush on September 27, 2007, and most of the provisions included in this law went into effect on October 1, 2007.

American Student Assistance^® (ASA) developed a summary of the major changes that came were caused by CCRAA. The act affects the following programs:

• – Grant Programs
• – FFEL Lender and Guarantor Provisions
